About Us

Tokens & Icons has been turning authentic, nostalgic artifacts into functional gifts for more than 34 years. The company was founded upon becoming one of the first licensees of the New York City MTA for whom we created cuff links that feature the iconic retired NY Subway tokens.  Tokens & Icons has a passion to bring new life and purpose to the memorable everyday objects of our past.

Update 

On January 1, 2024 Tokens began a transition to custom projects rather than shelf inventory.  Our MLB license comes to a close 12/31/24.  We are grateful to MLB for a 15 year run as a trusted steward of baseball's game used artifacts.  All Teams are limited to quantities on hand, a chance for you to secure your favorite team or artifact before they are gone.  Similar story for NFL & NHL.

Sports Items

Boston Garden Floor & Vintage Golf & Tennis items will continue for the foreseeable future until our source material is depleted.

Non-Sports Items

PGA Tour & Collegiate styles are no longer available for sale.  The authentication info for these items will remain available via our website's authentication page.

Tokens & Icons is located in Berkeley, California and all items ship from Berkeley.

Production

All of our bottle openers, flights & friendship bracelets are handcrafted locally.  For jewelry, our sterling cuff link swivel clasp is from Providence, RI which are combined with artifacts and set in Taxco, Mexico, the silver capital of the world. Our leather wallets are individually stitched in Mumbai, India.  Pre-production on watches and pens is done in Berkeley, final production in China. 

Our artisans, whether they are across the street or a video chat away, are in constant collaboration and as a team we work together to bring authenticity, craftsmanship and functionality to the gifting experience.
